Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) ‘Ten Over Ten’ first runner-up, Dede Ashiogwu, has rejected claims that regional bias played a role in her second-place finish.

The show’s finale, held on Sunday, saw Imisi emerge as the winner, walking away with the ₦150 million grand prize.

Following the result, Ossai Ovie Success, an aide to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, accused the organisers of manipulating the outcome. In a post on 𝕏, Ossai alleged that Dede was robbed because the organisers did not want another contestant from Delta State to win, following Kellyrae’s victory in the previous season. He further suggested legal action, insisting that the voting process was rigged.

However, speaking at the prize presentation ceremony on Tuesday at MultiChoice Nigeria’s Lagos office, Dede dismissed the allegations.

“I don’t think it had anything to do with region. It’s about votes—she got the highest votes, and she won. So, she deserves it,” she said.

Looking ahead, Dede revealed that she is shifting her focus toward a career in entertainment, with a passion for acting and other creative opportunities.

“Everything amazing, everything we don’t know, everything we’ve never seen—that’s what I’m bringing,” she added.
