Nollywood actor Eso Dike has revealed that it took him over seven years in the entertainment industry to earn his first one million naira.
Speaking during an interview with Chude, as reported by Gossip News Now, Dike reflected on the slow pace of his early career and the perseverance needed to reach that financial milestone.
The actor, who is also a qualified lawyer, studied law at the University of Benin before proceeding to the Nigerian Law School. After completing his legal training, he transitioned fully into acting.
He started out in television, securing roles on shows such as Tinsel, before gaining wider recognition through appearances in The Smart Money Woman, Game On, and Ricordi.
In more recent years, Dike has featured in several Nollywood films that performed successfully at the box office.
Looking back on his journey, the actor explained that although it took years to earn his first million, he never displayed the struggles outwardly.
He said:
“It took me more than seven years to make my first one million naira as an actor. Before I made that amount — I mean one million naira — my brother, it wasn’t a short process.
“But I don’t portray suffering. Even when I’m going through challenges, you wouldn’t know. Before I earned a bulk one million naira, it took time — probably seven or eight years.”
