Nigerian comedian and skitmaker Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, popularly known as Sabinus, has come to the defence of TikTok influencer Peller following his high-profile breakup with fellow content creator Jarvis in December 2025.
According to Gossip News Now, the incident escalated when Peller reportedly staged a deliberate car accident in an attempt to harm himself following threats linked to the breakup. He was subsequently hospitalised and later detained by authorities in line with traffic regulations.
In a TikTok livestream on Thursday, January 1, 2026, Peller clarified that he and Jarvis are now just friends and pleaded with the public to refrain from online bullying.
He further stated that he had apologised to Jarvis’ family, who forgave him, and added that his ex-girlfriend had requested that they maintain some distance to heal from the situation.
During a separate TikTok live session with Sandra Benede, Sabinus urged Nigerians to show empathy towards Peller, highlighting that love can sometimes drive people—even those who are successful—to make regrettable decisions. He recalled his own experience, saying he had once gifted an ex-girlfriend a Range Rover purely out of love.
In his words:
“Jarvis has finished Peller. I have been in Peller’s shoes before. Love is a tricky thing. I once gifted a girl a Range Rover because of love, so nobody should be quick to blame Peller.”
Sabinus’ comments resonated with many fans who praised him for offering understanding rather than criticism, reminding the public that emotions often cloud judgment even for prominent personalities.
