Nollywood actress Juliana Olayode has addressed recent rumours circulating about her personal and professional choices in the entertainment industry.
In a statement shared on her Instagram on February 5, 2026, Juliana explained that while she usually ignores online chatter, the recent stories had affected her emotionally, prompting her to respond. She described the rumours as harmful and untrue, questioning why people feel the need to spread such stories.
Commitment to Faith and Professional Boundaries
Juliana, who rose to fame as Toyosi (“Toyo Baby”) in the popular TV series Jenifa’s Diary, is known for openly discussing her Christian faith and how it shapes her lifestyle and career decisions. She emphasized that her beliefs guide her choices in film roles, particularly regarding intimate scenes.
The actress clarified that her screen boundaries are not new, noting that she has previously turned down roles that conflict with her values. She explained that she refuses to kiss in movies because it goes against her faith, but this does not mean she refuses to collaborate with any filmmaker.
Willingness to Work Within Her Principles
Juliana stressed that she is open to working with any producer or director, provided the script and her character respect her personal convictions. She encouraged understanding and respect for her choices, while condemning the spread of false information about her.
“I want to clear the air: there is absolutely no producer or director I cannot work with. I am willing to work with anyone, as long as the story and my role do not go against my consecration to God. It is true that I wouldn’t kiss in movies,” she said.
She added that people are free to judge her acting, dislike her, or choose not to work with her—but spreading lies about her is painful and wrong.
“It’s okay if you don’t like me. It’s okay if you say I’m not a good actor; it’s okay if you don’t want to work with me. But lying about me is deeply wrong and hurtful,” Juliana concluded.
By reaffirming her faith-driven choices, the actress hopes to set the record straight and encourage respect for personal boundaries within the film industry.
