The Kano State Government has cautioned supporters of Governor Abba Yusuf against making inflammatory comments or insulting the national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, warning that offenders will face disciplinary action.
Gossip News Now reports that the warning was issued on Saturday by Bature Tofa, Director-General of Media and Publicity at Government House, Kano, during a motorcycle distribution event at the Open Space Theatre, Government House.
Tofa stressed that the government will not tolerate indiscipline or disrespect directed at Kwankwaso, whom he described as a political figure whose contributions to state politics remain significant despite recent political shifts.
He said, “We will not accept indiscipline or insults against the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. Anyone who engages in such behaviour will face consequences. We will not tolerate it.”
The media director also urged Governor Yusuf’s supporters to exercise restraint and maturity, particularly given the heightened political tensions following recent realignments in the state’s political landscape.
He noted that maintaining peace and unity requires that political disagreements do not descend into personal attacks or abusive behaviour.
The warning comes amid ongoing debates and reactions surrounding Governor Yusuf’s resignation from the NNPP, a move that has sparked mixed responses within the Kwankwasiyya Movement and among residents of Kano State.
