Lizzy Anjorin Blames Anthony Joshua’s Mother Over Ogun Crash That Claimed Two Lives

Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has stirred reactions online following her comments on the tragic road accident in Ogun State that resulted in the deaths of two close associates of British-Nigerian boxing star, Anthony Joshua.

According to Gossip News Now, Anjorin, speaking in a video shared on social media, pointed fingers at Joshua’s mother, faulting her for permitting the boxer to travel to his hometown during the festive season rather than staying in more secure, upscale areas of Lagos such as Lekki, Ikoyi, or Banana Island.

She argued that choosing a safer location could have reduced the risks surrounding his movements during the busy holiday period.

The actress further stated that a global sports icon of Joshua’s status should not be freely moving around less-secured areas, particularly during crowded celebrations.

In her words:

“Anthony Joshua’s mother should be held responsible. Instead of placing her son in a safe environment like Lekki or Ikoyi, she allowed him to return to his village during the festivities. What kind of mother would allow that? Why couldn’t she settle him in places like Ikoyi or Banana Island?”

The fatal accident occurred in Ogun State and led to the loss of two members of Joshua’s entourage, although the boxer himself survived the crash.

Anthony Joshua was reportedly in Nigeria to reconnect with family and embrace his roots when the unfortunate incident happened.
