Senator Okey Ezea, who represented the Enugu North Senatorial District under the Labour Party (LP), has reportedly died.

Gossip News Now reports that Ezea was the only remaining LP lawmaker from Enugu State in the National Assembly.

According to Daily Post, preliminary findings reveal that the senator, who had previously undergone treatment in Germany, passed away on Tuesday in the United Kingdom, where he was receiving further medical care.

The news of his death was also confirmed by popular on-air personality Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, widely known as “Senator,” who posted on Facebook:
“Sad News. Senator Okey Ezea, representing Enugu North, is dead… Rest in Peace.”

Meanwhile, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, expressed profound grief over the loss of her colleague. In a heartfelt tribute shared on Facebook on Wednesday morning, she described Ezea as a wise, gentle, and compassionate colleague whose absence will be deeply felt in the Senate.

Reflecting on his impact, she wrote:
“Rest in peace, Distinguished Senator Okey Ezea. You were a good man — wise and gentle.
Your prayers kept me going through my darkest moments, and I will miss you in chambers.”
