French football star Kylian Mbappé has described Cristiano Ronaldo as the greatest player of all time, calling the Portuguese legend the ultimate role model and inspiration for aspiring footballers.
In a teaser released by Movistar on Sunday ahead of an exclusive interview, Mbappé spoke passionately about his admiration for Ronaldo and the impact the former Real Madrid forward has had on his own career.
“Ronaldo has always been my role model and example. I’m very lucky to be able to communicate with him. He gives me advice and helps me,” Mbappé said. “At Real Madrid, Ronaldo is undoubtedly the greatest player ever — a benchmark for this club. He created countless moments of glory, and people still look up to his achievements today.”
Mbappé, who joined Real Madrid in 2024 after years of transfer speculation, acknowledged Ronaldo’s unmatched legacy but said he hopes to create his own chapter in the club’s illustrious history.
“But I want to blaze my own path,” he added. “I hope that in the future, people will also look forward to my performances. This could lead to a historic moment for me and Real Madrid.”
Since his arrival at the Santiago Bernabéu, the 26-year-old French striker has made an immediate impact, scoring 58 goals and providing 7 assists in 69 appearances across all competitions.
Mbappé’s remarks once again highlight the deep respect he holds for Ronaldo — a player he idolized growing up — while underlining his own ambition to build a legacy worthy of Real Madrid’s legendary No. 7 jersey.
