Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Moses Bliss, has expressed deep disappointment after being unable to perform at a major worship concert in Tanzania due to visa complications.

The free event, which reportedly drew over 60,000 attendees, was scheduled for October 2, following Bliss’s successful performance in Kenya. However, upon arriving at the airport for their flight to Dar es Salaam, Bliss and his team discovered that their visas had not been approved despite prior assurances from the organizers.

Efforts to resolve the issue included reaching out to authorities, government officials, and ambassadors across Africa, but all attempts failed. They were later advised to obtain visas on arrival, yet upon landing in Tanzania at midnight, immigration officials denied them entry.

Describing the experience as painful, Bliss noted the immense financial and spiritual preparation that went into planning the concert.

He said:

“Hello my family in Tanzania. I’m here in Tanzania right now, I’m not just allowed to come in. I heard there were about 60,000 of you who came out. I’m sorry, I did my best… We’ve spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to make this event absolutely free for you to just come and worship the Lord Jesus with us.”

Bliss emphasized that Tanzanian fans were not at fault, praising their turnout and assuring them he would return.

“Tanzania, please hear me, you were not at fault. You came out in numbers, ready for God, and that moves me deeply. I owe you not just an apology, but a promise—by God’s grace, I will return.”

For now, Bliss and his team have returned to Nairobi, Kenya, with hopes of rescheduling a future worship experience in Tanzania.
