Gospel singer Damilare Odunuga, popularly known as Dare Melody, has penned a heartfelt tribute to his late wife, Adedoyin Mary Odunuga, one year after her death.

Taking to Instagram, the musician shared a touching message alongside a photo of his late wife, expressing how deeply he and their children continue to miss her.

He described Adedoyin as the heartbeat of their home, noting that her absence has left a lasting void in their lives.

“My beloved and adorable wife, Adedoyin Mary Odunuga — one year ago, we bid farewell to the heartbeat of our family and the love of my life. Your departure left an unfillable void where your vibrant spirit once shone. Our home, once filled with your laughter, now echoes with memories of your warmth.

The seasons have changed, but our sorrow remains, a constant reminder of the light you brought into our lives. Our daughters have grown, carrying your spark in their eyes — a bittersweet reflection of your love and grace.

Though it’s been a year, your memories are forever etched in my heart. No woman can ever take your place. Rest in perfect peace, my love. Myself and our lovely children miss you dearly. Odigbere! Odi Arinako!! Odi Ojuala!!!”

Adedoyin Odunuga passed away in October 2024 and was laid to rest in Eruwen, Ikorodu, Lagos, surrounded by family, friends, and fellow gospel musicians.

Since her passing, Dare Melody has openly shared his grief and the challenges of raising their children alone, often reflecting on her inner strength and the personal struggles she endured — including pressure from some members of his extended family.
