Filmmaker Noble Igwe has shared details of how he and his family safely escaped when a fire broke out at their Lagos home on Sunday afternoon.

Gossip News Now reports that the incident occurred around 12:30 pm when an air conditioner in the kitchen caught fire as the family was preparing to leave for brunch.

According to Igwe, the flames were quickly noticed, and swift assistance from neighbours, estate staff, and drivers helped confine the fire to the kitchen.

The Lagos State Fire Service arrived promptly in a new fire truck and helped bring the situation under control.

No one was injured, and the damage was reportedly limited to the kitchen area.

On his Instagram, Igwe wrote: “I just want to thank God for His faithfulness. Around 12:30 pm, our kitchen AC caught fire while we were getting ready to go out for brunch. The help informed us, and Chioma ran out with the kids to get the car keys. Today reminded me why building a strong community matters — drivers, gatemen, and homeowners came together and contained the fire to the kitchen.”

He added: “The Lagos State Fire Service arrived on time in a brand new truck. We often criticize the government, but today I want to say thank you to the Lagos State Government and Gov. Babajide. We are grateful to God for His mercy and protection.”

Noble Igwe, who hails from Abia State, is the founder of 360 Group and the entertainment platform 360Nobs.

He is married to Chioma Otisi, and the couple have children together.
