Nobody Lacks Money For School Or Hospital Bills Under Tinubu’s Administration – APC Governors

Governors elected under the platform of the All Progressives Congress have commended the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that recent policy initiatives have significantly expanded access to education and healthcare services across the country.

Their remarks came after a gathering of the Progressive Governors’ Forum in Abuja, where discussions focused on governance priorities and the impact of federal reforms.

Speaking after the meeting, the forum’s chairman and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, told reporters that the current administration has introduced programmes designed to remove financial barriers that once prevented many Nigerians from pursuing education or accessing medical treatment.

He pointed to the introduction of student loan initiatives and strengthened health insurance programmes as key measures that have broadened opportunities for citizens.

According to Uzodinma, these initiatives mean that Nigerians should no longer be prevented from attending school because of tuition costs or from receiving medical care due to hospital bills.

During his remarks, he also referenced the recent political development involving Siminalayi Fubara, who recently joined the ruling party.

Uzodinma said the governor’s decision reflects what he described as growing confidence in the policies of the Tinubu administration.

He argued that reform-driven governance is gradually attracting support from leaders across the country.

Meanwhile, political activities continued at the APC national headquarters as Fubara paid an unexpected visit to the party’s secretariat in Abuja.

The governor arrived in the evening hours and was received by several senior party officials shortly after his arrival.

Among those who welcomed him were the party’s National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru; the National Welfare Secretary, Donatus Nwapa; and the Deputy National Organising Secretary, Chidi Duru.

Also present was the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo.

Fubara, dressed in traditional attire, explained that although he had been scheduled to attend the Progressive Governors’ meeting, he believed it was appropriate to first visit the party’s national secretariat.

Following the reception, he was escorted to the office of the National Secretary where a private discussion took place.

Commentary and Analysis

The remarks by APC governors highlight the ruling party’s strategy of emphasizing social sector reforms as evidence of the administration’s progress.

Education financing and healthcare accessibility have historically been major concerns for Nigerians, particularly for families facing rising living costs.

By pointing to student loan schemes and expanded health insurance coverage, APC leaders appear to be framing these initiatives as proof that policy reforms are translating into tangible benefits for citizens.

At the same time, political developments such as Siminalayi Fubara’s defection suggest shifting alliances within Nigeria’s political landscape ahead of future elections.

High-profile defections often signal broader political recalculations among state leaders seeking stronger alignment with federal power structures.

Whether these developments ultimately translate into deeper political consolidation for the APC will depend on how effectively the administration’s reforms are perceived by the wider electorate.
