Rangers’ technical adviser Fidelis Ilechukwu has dismissed speculation that he is considering leaving the Flying Antelopes, reaffirming his commitment to the Enugu-based club despite recent reports of internal tensions.

Earlier this week, rumours circulated suggesting a rift between Ilechukwu and some members of his coaching staff, with claims that the former MFM manager was weighing his future at Rangers.

Speaking to journalists ahead of Rangers’ Matchday 16 clash with Bayelsa United, Ilechukwu described the reports as baseless.

“All those things are not true; it’s not possible. I have a contract with Rangers,” he said. “In all the clubs I’ve worked with, I’ve always finished my contracts and I’ve never been sacked.”

Rangers will host Bayelsa United at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Sunday, aiming to continue their push toward the top of the league table.

Meanwhile, Kwara United will enter their own matchday 16 fixture against Niger Tornadoes without three key players. Aliyu Salaudeen, Issa Gata, and Shola Abdulraheem are all sidelined with injuries and currently undergoing treatment, though the club has not revealed specifics.

Form has been a concern for the Harmony Boys, who have managed just two points from their last four matches, drawing against Shooting Stars and Nasarawa United. Head coach Suleiman Ashifat will be hoping for a strong response when his side faces Tornadoes at the Rashidi Yekini Stadium on Sunday.

Kwara United will also be seeking revenge after a 2-1 loss to Tornadoes in the same fixture last season.
