The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 01, Ibokun, Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State, has announced the indefinite suspension of former State House of Assembly member Olatunbosun Oyintiloye.

The party accused Oyintiloye of misconduct, claiming he allegedly misappropriated ₦5.6 million.

The decision was communicated in a letter addressed to the Osun State APC Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, dated Thursday, January 29, 2026.

According to the document, “the suspension followed a meeting of ward executives, leaders, and members who deliberated on issues reportedly affecting unity and cohesion within the ward.”

The letter, jointly signed by 18 ward executives and five leaders, alleged that Oyintiloye took over an Executive Assistant (EA) position and funds totaling ₦5.6 million without authorization.

“The funds were initially allocated for ward leaders,” the letter stated, “but Oyintiloye allegedly secured a personal EA slot through a third party while holding a federal appointment.”

Ward officials also accused the former lawmaker of “engaging in activities that could create division within the ward, including organizing parallel meetings,” as well as being “absent from ward meetings and political activities for over three years.”

The letter further claimed that Oyintiloye had failed to contribute financially or materially to ward initiatives, despite benefiting from multiple political appointments.

“In view of his continued lack of engagement and contributions to ward affairs, decisive disciplinary action became necessary,” the document stated.

The ward executives concluded, “Consequently, Hon. Bosun Oyintiloye is hereby suspended indefinitely from Ward One, Ibokun, and shall cease to represent the interests of the ward at any level.”

They, however, emphasized their openness to intervention from party leadership, noting that their main priority remains the unity and success of the APC ahead of upcoming elections.
