PDP Faction Issues Public Warning Declares Wike Fayose Anyanwu Others Expelled

The Kabiru Tanimu Turaki–led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a strong warning to the public, advising against engaging with several prominent figures it says have been formally expelled from the party.

In a statement released on Thursday and signed by Turaki, the faction named Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, and nine others as individuals who no longer belong to the PDP nor hold any official position within the party, following their expulsion.

The statement cautioned that any dealings with the listed individuals are “unauthorized” and entirely at the risk of those involved.

According to Turaki, the expelled members include:

  • Ezenwo Wike
  • Samuel Anyanwu
  • Ayo Fayose
  • Umar Bature
  • Kamaldeen Ajibade
  • Mao Ohuabunwa
  • George Turnah
  • Dan Orbih
  • Austin Nwachukwu
  • Mon’d Abdulrahman
  • Abraham Amah

The disclaimer reads:

“This is to inform the general public that the following individuals whose pictures and names appear below are no longer members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), nor do they hold any office in the Party, having been expelled at the 2025 Elective National Convention held from November 15–16 in Ibadan, Oyo State, in accordance with the Constitution of our Party (as amended).

“Any interactions or representations made by these expelled members are not authorized by our great Party. Therefore, members of the public dealing with these individuals do so at their own peril.”

Gossip News Now notes that the announcement comes after a separate statement from the Wike-aligned faction of the PDP, which also reaffirmed the expulsion of several party members.

That faction, through its National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu, issued a statement on Wednesday warning the public against “impostors” still presenting themselves as PDP representatives. It stated that the affected individuals had been expelled by the National Executive Committee on November 18 for alleged anti-party activities and gross misconduct, in line with the amended 2017 PDP Constitution.
