The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has confirmed that its governorship primary in Osun State will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, after successfully completing its ad hoc and national delegates congresses.

In a statement signed by the National Organising Secretary, Theophilus Dakas Shan, the party noted that it has officially notified the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of its timetable and readiness for the exercise.

“The Party hereby reminds strategic stakeholders and the general public that the primaries to elect the gubernatorial candidate will hold as scheduled,” the statement said.

According to the PDP, a fully constituted Electoral Committee has been put in place to oversee the primary, which is slated to begin at 10 a.m. in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

The party added that the delegate congresses conducted on November 24 and 29, 2025, were successful and have cleared the way for the upcoming primary.

Reiterating the importance of discipline, the PDP stressed that strict adherence to party rules is mandatory as aspirants enter the final stage of the contest.

“The candidates cleared for the primaries are advised to conduct themselves in line with the party’s constitution, as any act of indiscipline will attract sanctions,” Shan added.
