Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has stirred fresh speculation about trouble in her marriage after sharing Christmas-themed photos that did not feature her husband, actor Frederick Leonard.
While many Nigerian celebrities marked the festive season by posting family photos with their spouses and children, Peggy chose to celebrate the holiday with solo images, a move that quickly caught the attention of fans.
The actress posted pictures of herself dressed in stylish Christmas pyjamas, posing beside a decorated Christmas tree. Accompanying the photos, Peggy described Christmas as her favourite time of the year, noting that it serves as a reminder of love and grace as God’s greatest gifts.
“Christmas is always my best time of the year,” she wrote. “I’m reminded that God’s greatest gift is love wrapped in grace. Merry Christmas, fam.”
However, the absence of Frederick Leonard in the photos sparked widespread reactions online, with fans and followers questioning why the actor was missing from the festive post.
Fueling the speculation further, Nollywood actor Stanley Ontop alleged on Instagram that the couple’s marriage had collapsed. He claimed the relationship had ended some time ago, citing alleged infidelity and violent behaviour as reasons for the breakdown.
Stanley went on to challenge the couple to appear together publicly or collaborate on a project to disprove the rumours. He also made claims suggesting that the marriage was troubled from the beginning and accused both parties of being incompatible.
The comments have since intensified conversations across social media, with fans divided over the claims and awaiting a response from Peggy Ovire or Frederick Leonard, neither of whom has publicly addressed the allegations.
