Former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has confirmed that he has no intention of serving as a running mate in the 2027 elections.

Speaking on Sunday night during an 𝕏 Space session, Obi emphasized that he is running for president and will not settle for a vice-presidential position.

“I am not travelling around the world to gain experience just to become Vice President. I know how to turn Nigeria around. I built my business from scratch and have more experience than any candidate, including the sitting President,” Obi stated.

He urged Nigerians for support and prayers, saying, “Peter Obi will be on the ballot in 2027. I need your support. I need your prayers.”

Obi also addressed his relationship with the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition, clarifying that he does not need to formally join the party. He has always been part of the ADC coalition since its inception.

“I am not joining ADC. I can’t re-join what I am already a part of. I’ve been part of the coalition from day one. Nobody is stepping down for me in ADC. We have all agreed to work together, and Atiku Abubakar remains my respected leader,” he explained.
