Manchester City held on for a dramatic 3-2 victory over Leeds United at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, overcoming a late scare to maintain pressure on leaders Arsenal in the Premier League title race.
City raced into a two-goal lead thanks to Phil Foden, who scored inside the opening minute and added a second before the half-hour mark. Leeds, however, refused to surrender, pulling a goal back and threatening to snatch a point late in the game. Despite the nervy finish, City secured all three points, moving four points behind Arsenal in second place, while Leeds slipped to their sixth defeat in seven league games.
