Nollywood star Regina Daniels has spoken publicly for the first time regarding her marital crisis with politician and businessman Ned Nwoko, claiming that two of her siblings have been detained on his orders.
In emotional messages shared on her Instagram story, the actress said she is mentally overwhelmed by the situation and accused her estranged husband of trying to force her return by allegedly targeting her family members. According to Daniels, her elder brother and sister were arrested, and she fears her younger sibling may also be detained unless she agrees to what Nwoko reportedly describes as “rehab.”
Daniels said she had hoped to keep the matter private but felt compelled to speak up as the situation escalated. She expressed regret over the collapse of their marriage, saying a once “beautiful legacy” is now being played out in public.
The film star also refuted claims allegedly made by Nwoko that she struggles with drug addiction, stating that the accusations have deeply embarrassed her. She hinted at revealing more details about their relationship in the future, asserting that she has tried to remain calm despite feeling hurt and frustrated.
“I never thought I would speak out,” she wrote, lamenting that her family has become entangled in the dispute. She pleaded for Nwoko to “leave my family alone and leave me alone too,” emphasizing her desire to move forward peacefully.
Her comments come shortly after Nwoko accused her of substance and alcohol abuse, which he claimed triggered the issues in their marriage.
