Sammy Daniels, the brother of Nollywood star Regina Daniels, was reportedly taken into police custody while he was on a live video broadcast.
According to Gossip News Now , the incident occurred on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, where Sammy was said to be in the company of a friend when officers approached them.
Viewers who joined the live stream witnessed part of the encounter before the video abruptly went offline.
At the moment, the reason for the arrest has not been confirmed, as neither the police nor Regina Daniels has issued an official statement.
This development unfolds in the middle of an ongoing public dispute involving members of the Daniels family.
During a recent Instagram live session, Regina Daniels claimed that her husband, billionaire politician Ned Nwoko, orchestrated the police action.
She also refuted accusations suggesting that her family stole $40,000 from Nwoko, insisting that he does not keep cash in his residence.
Meanwhile, Senator Ned Nwoko has released documents and messages addressing the allegations made by his wife, Regina Daniels.
Gossip News Now reports that his team stated the evidence includes a WhatsApp message dated October 17, alongside medical and therapy documents, as well as statements from staff members.
The senator’s representatives dismissed the domestic abuse allegations, describing them as an attempt to divert attention from longstanding concerns about health and behavioural issues.
They further claimed that independent toxicology results indicated the presence and misuse of multiple substances, reinforcing worries that had previously been raised privately before the matter became public.
