Nollywood star Regina Daniels’ brother, Sammy West, has reportedly been remanded in Keffi Prison by a Dutse Magistrate Court, amid the ongoing conflict between the actress’s family and her billionaire husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

Gossip News Now gathered that Sammy was remanded on Thursday and allegedly denied access to legal representation during the court proceedings.

Regina’s other brother, Sweezy Daniels, raised the alarm on social media, claiming that the magistrate in charge of the case had “suddenly disappeared,” which made it impossible to process Sammy’s bail.

In a series of Instagram posts, Sweezy questioned the reason behind his brother’s detention, accusing Nwoko of using his influence to manipulate the system.

He wrote:

“He is currently at Keffi Prison. The Dutse Magistrate has suddenly disappeared. Ned, you can pay everybody, but you cannot pay for integrity. Sammy is currently in prison.

Everyone please help me ask Ned what Sammy’s offense is. My lawyers were on their way, but I wasn’t given any opportunity to call anyone. The judge said to keep him till bail is filed. Bail has been filed, but the magistrate has disappeared — no one to sign. You just want him to test the prison?

Ned, you can pay everybody, but you can’t pay for integrity. You no fit big pass God.”

Recall that Sammy West was arrested in Lagos on Monday by the police following a petition reportedly filed by Senator Ned Nwoko, after which he was flown to Abuja before being remanded in custody.

The development has since sparked widespread concern, with fans and rights advocates demanding transparency and fairness in the ongoing case.
