Nollywood actress, Angela Okorie, has reacted to reports of an alleged crisis in the marriage of actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
According to circulating reports on Saturday, Nwoko allegedly subjected Regina Daniels to physical abuse, with claims that her brother publicly raised alarm over the situation.
Expressing deep concern, Angela Okorie took to her Instagram page to condemn domestic violence and speak up for women facing abuse in silence. She described domestic abuse as “completely unacceptable,” stressing that no circumstance justifies a man hitting a woman.
Okorie urged women to speak out and refuse to remain in abusive relationships, emphasizing that marriage should never feel like a prison and that love should never bring pain.
She wrote:
“Getting to know what a lot of our women go through—the physical abuse, the pain, the silence—is heartbreaking. Domestic violence is never justified. No man has the right to raise his hands on a woman. Not in anger, not in love, not in marriage—NEVER!
“To every woman going through abuse, please speak up! Your silence protects your abuser, not you. Marriage is not a prison. Love is not meant to hurt.
“I’m calling on every woman, every voice, every platform—let’s speak louder against domestic violence. Let’s protect our sisters, mothers, and anyone suffering abuse at the hands of their partners. You are not alone. We demand protection. Every woman deserves dignity and respect. Enough is ENOUGH! #SayNoToDomesticViolence.”
