Popular Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has opened up about her decision to maintain a strict boundary between her private life and her career in entertainment.

As reported by Gossip News Now, despite spending over a decade in the Nigerian film industry, very little is known about the actress’s personal life. Kadiri, who is married and has two children born between 2019 and 2022, has never revealed her husband’s identity publicly. Instead, she only shares occasional photos of her children, typically on their birthdays.

Speaking in an interview with media personality Jay OnAir, the mother of two said she values her privacy deeply and is intentional about protecting her sense of peace and fulfillment.

“The last thing I want to do is lose myself in the process of being an entertainer,” she said. “I need to be able to keep the wealth of happiness or fulfillment for myself while growing and building what I want to build. And I’m not going to let anybody sway me.”

Kadiri explained that keeping her personal life private allows her to stay grounded while focusing on her professional goals. She emphasized that fame should never come at the cost of one’s identity or inner happiness.

The award-winning actress and producer added that while fans often crave insight into celebrities’ personal lives, she believes some aspects of life are better kept away from the public eye.
