A London-based teacher and cultural ambassador, Uche Nworah, has shared a disturbing account involving the movement of the late singer Ifunanya Nwangene, popularly known as Nanyah, from Abuja to Enugu for burial.

In a detailed Facebook post, Nworah explained that he received the information directly from Ifunanya’s uncle during a phone conversation. Nworah, who has known the uncle for several years through social media, said he felt compelled to share the account to clarify misinformation circulating online.

Clarifying Residence Details

Contrary to earlier reports, Nworah revealed that Ifunanya lived on the second floor of her Abuja apartment, not the ground floor as previously claimed. He noted that this detail raises questions about popular theories regarding how snakes could have entered her home, since such intrusions are typically linked to ground-floor residences with drainage or toilet access.

Strange Incident During Transportation

Nworah recounted an unusual event during the journey to Enugu, where Ifunanya was to be laid to rest according to her father’s wishes. The ambulance transporting her remains reportedly broke down along the Abuja Expressway, delaying the trip.

While waiting for a replacement vehicle, a snake was allegedly discovered under the broken-down ambulance. According to the uncle, the snake was later killed before the new ambulance continued the journey.

Reflections on the Events

Nworah emphasized that while some may see these occurrences as coincidences, others might find them unsettling. He clarified that he was simply relaying what he was told, providing context to the ongoing discussion surrounding the singer’s death.

He wrote:

“Beyond social media claims, I received a call from Ifunanya’s uncle, who has been my Facebook friend for many years. During our conversation, he shared details some may find disturbing, while others may view them as mere coincidences.

“Contrary to widespread reports, Ifunanya did not live on the ground floor, but on the second floor. This raises questions about how snakes could have gained access to her apartment.

“He also recounted that while her body was being transported to Enugu, the ambulance broke down along the Abuja Expressway. During the wait for a replacement vehicle, a snake was discovered beneath the broken-down ambulance and subsequently killed.

“While these incidents may be unrelated, they nonetheless leave room for reflection.”
