Nigerian reality star Anita Natacha, widely known as Tacha, has officially earned two Guinness World Records for completing the highest number of individual cosmetic makeovers in 24 hours.
Gossip News Now reports that the record-breaking attempt took place on October 11 in Lagos, where Tacha set up a makeup station behind a glass wall, allowing onlookers to watch her in action.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Tacha revealed that she completed 82 makeovers within the first eight hours and went on to finish 144 makeovers over the full 24-hour period, surpassing the previous record held by Mary Yongai of Sierra Leone.
Each participant received a comprehensive makeover, including foundation, concealer, blush, eyeshadow, mascara, lip liner and gloss, eyebrow shaping, and finishing powder.
The record attempt was not without challenges.
A severe nine-hour storm disrupted the setup, damaging screens and branding materials, while power outages forced the team to rely on phone flashlights.
Despite these setbacks, Tacha and her team pressed on without pause, ensuring that every makeover was completed on schedule.
Guinness World Records later verified her accomplishment, awarding her two new titles and acknowledging her for breaking the existing record.
Tacha described the achievement as an overwhelming experience, sharing her feelings of joy, relief, and pride while celebrating with her team.
She dedicated the records to young girls, creatives, and dreamers, hoping to inspire Nigerians and African women to chase their dreams and showcase their talents on the global stage.
