Talent manager Tunji Balogun, popularly known as Teebillz, has urged music icon 2Baba to seek therapy and professional support as he navigates the current crisis in his marriage.
Sharing an old photo of himself and 2Baba on Instagram, Teebillz recalled a heartfelt moment from years ago. He narrated how, during a visit to Nigeria for his father’s birthday, 2Baba persuaded him to extend his stay, changed his flight ticket and confided in him about how lonely he had felt with no one to open up to.
He said that emotional encounter deepened their bond and made him appreciate 2Baba as an older brother figure.
Teebillz noted that although he is battling his own struggles, the time has come for 2Baba to speak to a professional and prioritise his mental health. He cautioned that many legendary entertainers suffered greatly because they kept their pain hidden and avoided seeking help until it was too late.
He also shared a message many interpreted as referencing 2Baba’s current marriage to Natasha Osawuru, stressing that it is better to stand alone than remain with someone who only embraces the good moments or contributes to one’s lowest moments.
Reaffirming his support, Teebillz wrote:
“My first time back in Nigeria after being gone so long — you begged me to stay longer. You paid for my ticket change, hugged me and cried on my shoulder.
‘Billy, I’ve had no one to talk to since you left…’
Your honesty made me love you as my big brother. I’m not here to judge — I’m fighting my own demons too.But now it’s time to get help. Therapy, even clinical support if needed. There’s no shame in choosing life. We’ve seen how legends like Michael Jackson, Whitney, Prince and Majek Fashek suffered when they didn’t face their demons.
I’ve always looked out for you behind closed doors. I’m working on myself, and you need to do the same — for you and your beautiful children. They need their father whole.
It’s better to stand alone than be with a woman who only loves your best side or feeds your worst.
I love you, King Two. You’re not alone.”
