Nigerian music video director ThankGod Omori, widely known as TG Omori, has alleged that he is now receiving death threats after expressing his views on same-sex relationships and being featured in a controversial online report.
According to Gossip News Now , the issue began over the weekend when Omori posted his stance on homosexuality on 𝕏, writing:
“Having same gender sex is evil.”
The remark quickly circulated and sparked intense reactions across social media.
Omori later revealed that the situation escalated after an online magazine published a piece suggesting he used the backlash as a strategy to promote his eyewear brand. He said the publication fuelled the outrage and placed him in greater danger.
The director stated that ever since the article was released, he has been receiving threatening messages “day and night,” leaving him feeling unsafe. He accused the outlet of misrepresenting him and exposing him to hostility from a global audience.
Reacting to the article, he wrote:
“This is a media house trying to set me up and risk my life by gaslighting a global community they serve to blacklist me for speaking my truth in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Death threats and wishes have been sent to me day and night, threatening my safety and security as a citizen, since after this article was published by @Zikoko_Mag.”
