Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says his team will recover quickly from Saturday’s dramatic 2-1 loss to Aston Villa, stressing that such results are part of the demanding nature of the Premier League.

Arteta noted that Arsenal have played in several tough stadiums this season, and while the outcome at Villa Park could have gone differently, the team must now refocus.

“That is the league. You go to Old Trafford, St James’ Park, Chelsea, you come here—we’ve been to a lot of difficult grounds,” he said.

“The result could have been different, but the reality is not. We went 18 games unbeaten and we’re still there, close to each other. That is the level of the league. We know that. Now it is time to bounce back.”

Arteta expressed confidence in his squad, insisting that the setback will only make the team stronger.

“They have given me every reason to believe we’ll perform at the same level. We move on. We will learn from today and it will make us a better team,” he added.

Aston Villa snatched victory deep into added time when Emiliano Buendía scored a dramatic winner, halting Arsenal’s title momentum and securing all three points for the home side.

Arteta also addressed the team’s injury challenges, acknowledging that the squad must continue to adapt as the season progresses.

“It’s five months into the competition and so far we have coped. We have to prove we can cope again and again for another six months. People who think we’ll be 10 points clear at this stage live in a different world,” he said.

The Arsenal boss confirmed that centre-back Cristhian Mosquera’s ankle injury is worse than initially expected and will sideline him for several weeks.

“He’s going to be out for weeks, unfortunately. It’s much more than we expected,” Arteta revealed.
