Nollywood actress and philanthropist, Tonto Dikeh, has opened up about her powerful journey of healing and transformation, crediting the Holy Spirit for delivering her from depression, anger, and sexual immorality.
Gossip News Now reports that the actress made the revelation on Tuesday in a heartfelt Instagram post titled “7 Things the Holy Spirit Healed Me From.”
In the post, the mother of one reflected on her past struggles, revealing that she once battled uncontrollable anger, emotional turmoil, and periods of deep depression that nearly drove her to suicide.
According to Dikeh, her complete turnaround began when she fully surrendered to God and allowed Him to mend her brokenness. Though she had known God since finishing secondary school, she admitted that life’s challenges caused her to drift until she found her way back to faith.
“The moment I gave my life completely to God, everything changed,” she wrote. “He healed my heart, my mind, and my body.”
The actress further shared that God delivered her from sexual immorality, teaching her the strength and peace that come with celibacy. She now views intimacy as a sacred act rooted in love, respect, and divine purpose.
Dikeh also revealed that her renewed faith led to unexpected blessings — including reconciling with her sister after 45 years of estrangement.
Expressing gratitude for her spiritual rebirth, Tonto emphasized that she now guards her peace fiercely and refuses to entertain anything that threatens her emotional or spiritual stability.
“My peace is my priority,” she concluded. “And I will never trade it for anything again.”
