Toyosi Effiong, wife of Nollywood actor Daniel Etim-Effiong, has opened up about infidelity in marriage, revealing that cheating is not a dealbreaker for her.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Toke Moments podcast, Toyosi discussed relationships, commitment, and the role of faith in sustaining a marriage. She explained that although she created a prayer group for wives to pray for their husbands against Jezebels, infidelity alone would not make her leave her marriage.
“Cheating is not a dealbreaker for me. I even created a prayer group, Wives of Entertainers Prayer Group, to pray for our husbands so that Jezebels will not carry them,” she said.
Toyosi emphasized that faith, prayer, and spiritual support are central to protecting and strengthening her home. She also highlighted the importance of love, resilience, and intentional communication, noting that a successful marriage requires understanding and consistent effort from both partners.
In a separate discussion, Toyosi reacted to a cheating scandal that emerged during a Coldplay concert involving Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the company’s HR head, Kristin Cabot. The affair was exposed when Chris Martin, Coldplay’s lead singer, unknowingly pointed them out on the concert’s kiss cam, attracting widespread online attention.
Toyosi took to Instagram to share her thoughts, expressing sympathy and acknowledging how difficult it can be to maintain self-control in today’s world. The mother of three reflected on human weakness and used a biblical reference to illustrate how easily people can be tempted into making the wrong choices.
