Tyson Fury appears more determined to settle his rivalry with Oleksandr Usyk than to finally face fellow Brit Anthony Joshua, according to his promoter Frank Warren.

Warren revealed that the former WBC heavyweight champion is targeting a third bout against Usyk next year, aiming to avenge the only two defeats of his professional career.

“The fight he really wants is another go with Mr. Usyk — he really wants that,” Warren told Sky Sports. “They were great fights, really close ones, and I’d definitely watch that again. That’s the fight he talks about all the time.”

Fury, 36, briefly announced his retirement earlier this year but has continued private training in preparation for a potential comeback. He lost both encounters with Usyk in 2024 — the first in a bruising contest that nearly ended in a stoppage, and the second by a narrow points decision in their rematch.

Despite those losses, Warren dismissed claims that Fury’s career is over, insisting that the British heavyweight still has plenty of fight left in him.

“He hasn’t got a lot of miles on the clock. He’s very smart — he knows better than anyone what he’s got left,” Warren said. “He’s a fighting man. If he decides to go again, he’ll go again. He’s not someone clutching at straws.”

Fury’s renewed focus on a third showdown with Usyk means fans may once again have to wait for the long-anticipated all-British blockbuster against Anthony Joshua — a fight that has been discussed for nearly a decade but has yet to materialize.

Both men have held world titles and global recognition on separate paths, but as their careers move toward the final chapters, the prospect of a Fury–Joshua clash continues to fade into uncertainty.
