Galatasaray strengthened their position at the summit of the Turkish Super Lig with an emphatic 4–0 triumph over Kayserispor, a match that also marked a historic personal achievement for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.

During the dominant outing, the Nigerian forward scored his side’s second goal, bringing his total number of senior career goals to an impressive 200 across both club and international competitions.

Beyond finding the net, Osimhen also contributed creatively by setting up a teammate before he was substituted in the 82nd minute. Mauro Icardi later sealed the comprehensive victory with a late penalty to complete the rout.

The milestone strike highlights Osimhen’s strong return to form following his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations. He had already opened his scoring account again in the previous league fixture after drawing a blank in a tightly contested UEFA Champions League encounter against Manchester City.

Across his professional journey so far, Osimhen has amassed 165 goals at club level from 284 appearances, while also delivering 35 goals in 51 outings for Nigeria’s national team.

His most prolific period came during his time at Napoli, where he registered 76 goals. Since moving to Galatasaray, his impact has been swift and decisive, producing 51 goals in only 61 matches for the Turkish side.

Earlier in his career, the 25-year-old also impressed at LOSC Lille with 18 goals, and at Royal Charleroi SC where he scored 20 times.

In total, Osimhen has featured in 336 senior matches, contributing not only 200 goals but also 51 assists across all competitions.

His list of achievements includes league titles in both Italy and Turkey, domestic cup success in Turkey, and a FIFA Under-17 World Cup victory with Nigeria. Individually, he has claimed honours such as Serie A top scorer, Turkish Super Lig top scorer, and the African Footballer of the Year award.

Throughout his career, the striker has scored in 12 separate competitions, with his highest return coming in Serie A where he recorded 65 goals, followed by 33 goals in the Turkish Super Lig.

Only last weekend, he set another club record by becoming the quickest player in Galatasaray’s history to reach 50 goals, further emphasizing his immediate influence since joining the Istanbul giants.

With this latest win, Galatasaray remain first on the Super Lig table on 49 points, opening a six-point gap over second-placed Fenerbahçe, who still have a game in hand.
