Popular Nigerian actor and musician Adams Kehinde, widely known as Lege Miami, has debunked claims surrounding a viral video suggesting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu slipped during his official visit to Turkey.
According to reports, the video, which circulated widely across social media platforms on Tuesday, appeared to show the Nigerian leader losing his balance while participating in a ceremonial parade organised in his honour.
The footage captured the president standing close to the guard of honour before security personnel were seen moving toward him, sparking speculation and concern online.
Reacting to the viral clip, Lege Miami dismissed the claims as completely false, stressing that the incident never occurred. He insisted that the footage misrepresented the actual events of the president’s visit.
The entertainer further alleged that the video was artificially generated using artificial intelligence (AI) and claimed it was deliberately circulated by political opponents ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He maintained that President Tinubu did not stumble at any point, explaining that the president walked normally alongside the Turkish president throughout the ceremony.
Lege Miami urged Nigerians to refrain from spreading false narratives, warning that such misinformation harms the country’s reputation on the global stage.
He also revealed plans to release another video clip showing the president properly marching during the event, to counter the circulating footage.
“Mr President did not fall. The video going around is AI-generated. It was created by the opposition because of the coming election. That is their usual strategy.
I will share my own video where Mr President marched alongside the Turkish president, and everyone will see the truth. Our president did not fall. Please stop spreading fake news,” he said.
Lege Miami is widely recognised as a vocal supporter of President Tinubu, frequently expressing public backing for the administration. He is also known to maintain a close relationship with the president’s son, Seyi Tinubu.
