‘We Intend to Vote Tinubu Out of Office’ – ADC Spokesperson Bolaji Abdullahi

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) spokesperson, Bolaji Abdullahi, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will be voted out in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Abdullahi stated that while the ADC is not acting out of desperation, removing Tinubu from power is essential for reclaiming the country.

He argued that the nation has been overtaken by the APC-led administration, adding that the rhetoric used by some government officials mirrors the language of banditry.

According to Abdullahi:
“We want to get Tinubu out of power. That is the only way to reclaim the country. Not out of desperation, but because as long as he remains in office, we cannot take the nation back. The system has been hijacked.”

He further criticized statements allegedly made by individuals in the current administration, saying:
“Look at the declarations from people in government—‘snatch it and run with it.’ That is the language of banditry. This is the first time we are seeing a government justify forging a deal as part of the law. The same administration spent $9 million on lobbyists to present a favourable image before former U.S. President Donald Trump.”
