Rita Daniels, mother of Nollywood star Regina Daniels, has publicly addressed the ongoing marital crisis between her daughter and Senator Ned Nwoko.
This comes after Regina accused Nwoko of domestic violence and substance-related claims, moved out of their home, and alleged that two of her siblings were arrested in an attempt to compel her into a rehabilitation program — claims the senator denies. Nwoko, in turn, accused the actress of substance abuse.
In a viral video released online, Rita Daniels criticized the senator over the reported arrests and warned that she would no longer stay silent.
She accused Nwoko of attempting to benefit from her daughter’s public influence and warned that the family has protected his reputation in the past.
Rita said:
“You wanted someone with a big name to lift yours. If you think you can bite the hand that supported you, you’ll go down.”
She dismissed claims that Regina married Nwoko out of greed, insisting the actress contributed significantly to his political career — including financial support during his senatorial campaign.
Rita further claimed that the family has helped shape Nwoko’s public image, saying they have “covered up” for him and boosted his status online.
“We’ve been covering for you and making you look like a big man,” she added.
The high-profile marital dispute continues to generate intense public attention as both sides air personal grievances online.
