The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has emphasized that political alignments in Rivers State have moved beyond loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) or the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking on Sunday during a “thank-you” tour of Ahoada West Local Government Area, Wike described the state’s political landscape as the “Renewed Hope Family.” He praised Rivers for its exceptional spirit of unity and affirmed his commitment to mobilizing support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Wike likened the cooperation among parties in Rivers to a “rainbow coalition,” highlighting the state’s distinct ability to embrace inclusiveness and shared political objectives.

He encouraged other states to emulate Rivers’ model of broad-based collaboration as the nation prepares for the 2027 polls.

“The strength of Rivers lies not in party affiliations, but in the collective resolve of its people,” Wike said. He described the state as an example of organic political unity, where the focus is on common goals rather than partisan interests.

The minister expressed confidence that this cooperative spirit would endure and reiterated his unwavering support for President Tinubu’s reelection campaign, noting that Rivers State has consistently demonstrated robust backing for the president, even when others questioned his prospects.
