Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has described Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara as “a bad child.”

Gossip News Now reports that Wike made the remark during the ‘Renewed Hope Family Thank You Visit’ in Ahoada East Local Government Area on Wednesday, accusing Fubara of reversing key initiatives started by his administration.

Wike stated that his government had employed 10,000 youths across various sectors of the state’s economy, but the beneficiaries were dismissed after Fubara assumed office.

The Minister also criticised Fubara for taking credit for major road projects, including the Ahoada–Omoku and Emohua–Kalabari roads, asserting that 70% of the payments had already been made under his administration before the handover.

He said:
“When I decided to dualise the Ahoada road, many thought it was impossible. But by God’s grace, Ahoada Town is now becoming the city it is meant to be. During my tenure, we completed phase one of the dualisation.

“I then flagged off phase two, which extends to Omoku. The same day, we approved the Emohua–Kalabari road project. We awarded the contracts to Julius Berger and signed an agreement allowing them to collect N4 billion monthly from our internally generated revenue.

“The total cost for both roads was about N80 billion. At N4 billion per month, the projects would be completed in approximately two years.”
