Nollywood actress and producer Mary Remmy Njoku has shared her perspective on what it takes to achieve fame and success in the media industry.
Gossip News Now reports that Njoku said rising to prominence often requires bold or unconventional actions, not just doing good work.
Speaking at the NECLive panel, she reflected on her own journey, explaining that she built her wealth and brand by identifying and solving problems in the creative sector.
She added that public attention often favors those who take extreme or surprising actions. Despite this, she encouraged young creatives to use their influence positively, even if genuine efforts aren’t immediately recognized.
“I got rich by solving problems. If you want to blow right now, you can’t blow by doing good. You have to do something stupid or crazy right now. And it’s not fair on the very few people that are doing good,” Njoku said.
In other news, Nigerian Grammy-winning singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, recently revealed her major red flags in a potential partner.
Speaking in an interview with American outlet Complex, the ‘Love Me Jeje’ crooner said she cannot date someone unfriendly or uncurious. Tems explained that the essence of a relationship is lost if a partner does not show genuine interest and warmth toward their spouse.
She described herself as a “lover girl” but said past experiences have made her more cautious in choosing a partner.
