Afrobeats artiste Babatunde Rahimlisten, popularly known as Lyta, has opened up about the difficult period he has endured, while expressing deep gratitude to his family for their unwavering support.
According to Gossip News Now, the singer addressed his critics in a video that has since gone viral on social media, calling out trolls who have repeatedly mocked and bullied him online.
Lyta described his experiences as extremely challenging, stating that those ridiculing him would not have been able to cope if they had faced similar trials.
He said, “I wouldn’t wish what I went through on anyone. You wouldn’t be able to handle it. If you had experienced what I faced, you would have given up. That’s why you’re bullying. Big appreciation to my parents and siblings for never abandoning me.”
Meanwhile, Nigerian singer Simi has also shared details of the health struggles she encountered while working on her latest track, ‘Where You Dey,’ which features Chike.
Taking to her X (formerly Twitter) account, Simi revealed that she had initially planned to release the song last year but was forced to delay the project due to health-related challenges.
She explained that although she was excited about the song, the period was both physically exhausting and emotionally demanding.
“I really wanted to release this song last year. When I shared the snippet, I was so excited, but it became difficult to complete everything on schedule because everything felt overwhelming,” she wrote.
Simi further disclosed that she was dealing with illness, extreme tiredness, and nausea while pushing through the creative process, even during the filming of the song’s preview video.
