Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has publicly criticised President Bola Tinubu, expressing deep frustration over the worsening insecurity and economic hardship across the country.

Gossip News Now reports that Nigerians have been gripped by fear in recent weeks as cases of kidnapping surge nationwide. Bandit attacks and abductions have become more frequent, leaving citizens anxious and vulnerable.

In a Facebook post, Edochie lamented that criminal groups appear to be gaining ground, while the cost of basic commodities continues to soar beyond the reach of ordinary Nigerians.

He wrote:
“Dear President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, bandits are gradually taking over the whole country, spilling the blood of Nigerians without consequences. Nigerians are being kidnapped in numbers daily. Things are so expensive, the suffering is unbearable for Nigerians. Is this the renewed hope you promised Nigerians?”

The actor’s remarks add to the growing public outcry over insecurity and the rising cost of living.

Meanwhile, Edochie recently voiced concern about another issue affecting his community—the steady decline of the Igbo language among young people.

In a separate Facebook post, he noted that many Igbo children today cannot speak their native language, calling it a troubling development that must be urgently addressed.

“Today, many of us who are Igbos, our children cannot speak Igbo. It’s a failure on our part that must be corrected moving forward,” he wrote.
