Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie has addressed rumors suggesting tension between him and his three children with his estranged wife, May Edochie.
In a candid discussion on the KaaTruths podcast, Yul clarified that his relationship with his children remains warm and loving, despite his decision not to post about them on social media.
He explained that the primary reason for withholding posts about the children is a court order linked to his ongoing divorce proceedings with May. This legal directive prevents either parent from publicly sharing images or updates about the kids.
“The reason why I don’t post anything about my kids with May is not because I don’t have a good relationship with them, but because there’s a court order that says we must stop posting our kids,” Yul said.
The actor emphasized that he continues to maintain contact with his children and fulfills his financial responsibilities toward them. Recently, he shared, he spoke with his son, who informed him about matriculating into university, though Yul was unable to attend the ceremony due to not being notified in time.
“The fact of the matter is that I’m still in contact with my children and I still send my son money through their mother,” he added.
When asked about honesty during his marriage, Yul opted for discretion. He stressed that he prefers to handle family matters privately rather than publicly assigning blame.
“The main issue is not on social media. I would rather not say anything. I don’t want to say my ex-wife did this, my ex-wife did that. Real men don’t tackle issues like that. It is all family stuff, nobody is perfect,” he explained.
Yul’s comments offer insight into the actor’s approach to navigating personal and legal boundaries while maintaining his role as a father.
