Abdulmumin Jibrin, member of the House of Representatives representing Kiru/Bebeji federal constituency in Kano State, has officially rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Gossip News Now reports that Jibrin made his return during a political rally on Sunday. In a video circulating on social media, the Kano lawmaker swapped his cap for one featuring President Bola Tinubu’s insignia, as supporters cheered and waved APC flags.

Jibrin’s move comes after his recent expulsion from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP). The Kano State NNPP Chairman, Hashim Sulaiman Dungurawa, accused him of anti-party activities and failing to meet financial obligations. He said the decision followed Jibrin’s repeated public criticisms of the party and its leadership, describing him as a “weak politician” whose electoral success relied on the Kwankwasiyya movement and the NNPP platform rather than personal political strength.

In response, Jibrin confirmed his acceptance of the expulsion and stated he is ready to leave the NNPP peacefully despite not receiving a fair hearing regarding the allegations. He appealed to the party to allow him to exit without further conflict.
