1. ‘Real Reason Behind Wike’s Clash With Soldiers Over Abuja Land’
The office of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has alleged that former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo, used military personnel to harass civilians over a disputed piece of land he reportedly does not own.
This allegation was made public on Tuesday through a statement released by the Minister’s media aide, Lere Olayinka.
Olayinka stated that Gambo was instructed to halt construction on the property due to a lack of valid documents, but instead of complying, he allegedly deployed soldiers to assault officials from the FCTA Department of Development Control.
He further explained that Wike personally visited the location to enforce the stop-work order after contacting the Chief of Defence Staff by phone.
While addressing journalists at the site, Wike maintained that the project was illegal since Gambo could not present any approved documentation.
The Minister accused the former Naval Chief of attempting to use soldiers to instill fear, declaring that he would not succumb to intimidation and that the unlawful construction would not be allowed to proceed.
Wike added that he had already discussed the matter with both the Chief of Defence Staff and the Chief of Naval Staff to find an amicable solution.
As previously reported by Naija News, tensions escalated on Tuesday when soldiers blocked Wike and his team from accessing a disputed plot in the Gaduwa area of Abuja, resulting in a heated confrontation.
2. Orji Kalu Confirms Moves To Impeach Akpabio
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Chairman of the Senate Committee on the South East Development Commission (SEDC), has confirmed that there have been efforts by some lawmakers to remove Senate President Godswill Akpabio from office.
According to Gossip News Now , the former Abia State Governor disclosed this while speaking with journalists on Tuesday.
Kalu, however, insisted that such impeachment attempts would not succeed.
Addressing the country’s economic challenges, Kalu admitted that Nigerians are facing hardship but pointed out that key economic indicators are showing gradual improvement.
He noted that both President Bola Tinubu and the Senate are working tirelessly to stabilize the economy and improve food availability across the nation.
Kalu further stressed that under Akpabio’s leadership, the National Assembly remains fully committed to supporting President Tinubu’s economic reform agenda through legislation that prioritizes citizens’ welfare.
3. ‘Ex-Boko Haram Fighters Now Serving In Nigerian Army’ – Rev. Dachomo Claims
Nigerian clergyman, Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, has voiced strong support for a U.S. intervention in what he termed the “Christian genocide” currently taking place in Northern Nigeria.
In an interview with News Central TV, Rev. Dachomo accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration and several government officials of being complicit in the widespread killings.
He further alleged that self-proclaimed “repentant” Boko Haram insurgents have been recruited into Nigeria’s military and security services.
Expressing certainty in his claims, the cleric said, “I have credible insiders feeding me information. I’m fully, even more than 100%, in support of President Donald Trump’s intervention because the Nigerian government’s hands are tied.”
Rev. Dachomo also vowed to drag the Nigerian government before the International Criminal Court (ICC) over its alleged role in the ongoing atrocities.
4. ‘Nobody Will Ever Touch You Again’ – Sammy West Promises Regina Daniels
Sammy West, the younger brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has pledged to protect his sister from any form of physical abuse.

He was, however, released from prison on Monday, November 10.
Following his release, Regina Daniels shared a clip of a video call with Sammy on social media, during which he vowed to keep defending her— even if it meant returning to prison.
Sammy declared that he would gladly face jail time again as long as it ensured his sister’s safety and peace of mind.
5. Over 1,000 Footballers Banned As Massive Betting Scandal Hits Turkey
Turkish football has been thrown into turmoil after more than one thousand players were suspended amid allegations of involvement in a large-scale illegal betting operation.
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced that 1,024 players across different professional divisions have been sanctioned pending investigation. This includes 27 top-flight players who have been referred to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK).
As a result of the scandal, matches in Turkey’s third and fourth tiers have been suspended for two weeks, while games in the Super Lig and First Division will continue as scheduled.
To help clubs manage the sudden shortage of players, the TFF has appealed to FIFA for an additional 15 days beyond the official winter transfer deadline. FIFA has yet to issue a response.
In a statement released Monday, Turkish giants Besiktas confirmed that two of their players were among those under investigation, expressing confidence in their innocence.
The crisis has intensified as Turkish authorities have arrested eight individuals — including a club chairman — as part of a growing probe into potential match-fixing and connections to organized betting syndicates, according to local media reports.
6. Super Eagles Skip Training Over Unpaid Bonuses and Allowances
Nigeria’s Super Eagles and their coaching crew reportedly boycotted training in Rabat, Morocco, on Tuesday to protest unpaid bonuses and allowances dating as far back as 2019.
According to Gossip News Now, the strike has sparked concern ahead of their vital 2026 FIFA World Cup Africa play-off semi-final clash against Gabon.
Both players and officials refused to train as a form of protest against the lingering non-payment of entitlements, which include bonuses for their qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup play-offs.
BBC Sports journalist Oluwashina Okeleji revealed that the team members are awaiting a prompt resolution so they can resume preparations for Thursday’s match.
In a post shared on 𝕏, Okeleji stated that none of the Super Eagles players had received their due payments, describing the mood in camp as tense and filled with frustration over “repeated unfulfilled promises.”
A statement allegedly signed by the entire squad and technical staff read: “All players and officials have suspended training in Morocco due to unresolved issues regarding outstanding payments and bonuses.”

He recounted that a close friend introduced him to cybercrime, but his gentle nature made it impossible for him to go through with it.
Interestingly, the same friend who brought him into the illegal business is now a pastor.
Destalker revealed that they would often spend entire nights in cybercafés, paying for long hours of internet use in hopes of making money through online scams.

8. U.S.-Led Chibok Girls Rescue Mission Halted After Military Intelligence Leak – Akinyemi
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Professor Bolaji Akinyemi, has disclosed that a planned U.S.-backed operation to rescue the abducted Chibok schoolgirls in 2014 was aborted following a suspected information leak within Nigeria’s military ranks.
Speaking during an interview on Arise TV on Tuesday, Akinyemi explained that the operation, initiated under former President Goodluck Jonathan, was designed as a collaborative mission between Nigerian forces and their American counterparts.
He recounted that the plan aimed to free the schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram insurgents from Chibok, Borno State, on April 14, 2014.
However, the mission was suddenly cancelled after surveillance revealed that Boko Haram fighters at the target location were wearing masks — a telltale sign, according to Akinyemi, that the extremists had been tipped off about the rescue effort.
He further stated that the U.S. military withdrew from the mission, citing serious concerns for the safety of their personnel after realizing the operation had been compromised.
9. Christian Genocide: Eliminate Terrorists With Bullets Or Step Down – Adebayo Tells Tinubu

He made this remark on Tuesday during the National Electoral Reforms Summit held in Abuja.
Adebayo challenged President Bola Tinubu to take decisive military action against terrorists inflicting harm on Nigerians or, alternatively, resign from office.
His statement followed Trump’s recent move to list Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern and his warning of potential military intervention over alleged persecution and killings of Christians.
Responding to the development, Adebayo asserted that any country whose sovereignty contradicts international humanitarian laws risks losing global legitimacy.
