Priscilla Ojo Responds to Allegations That Juma Jux Purchased AFRIMA Award

Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo has addressed new online claims involving her husband, Tanzanian musician Juma Jux, following his win at the 2026 AFRIMA awards.

According to Gossip News Now , the controversy began after Juma Jux was named Best Male Artiste in Eastern Africa during the 9th edition of the African music awards, which took place on Sunday, January 11, at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Not long after his victory, speculation surfaced on social media suggesting that the award may have been bought.

Priscilla publicly celebrated her husband’s accomplishment on Snapchat, posting a congratulatory message and expressing her pride in him.

“Congratulations, baby. So proud of you!!” she wrote.

Her post, however, drew criticism from a follower who accused the couple of purchasing the award.

The follower remarked, “Award wey una buy o.”

Priscilla quickly shut down the accusation, urging the individual to avoid negativity as the new year begins.

“Belle, it’s a new year, stop hating, girl,” she responded.

This is not the first time Juma Jux has been targeted with such claims.

After winning Best East African Artiste at a previous edition of The Headies, a social media user alleged that his marriage to Priscilla was a calculated move to gain fame and awards in Nigeria.

At that time, Priscilla defended him, stating that her husband is both intelligent and hardworking.
