The Strategy, Conflict Resolution, and Mobilisation Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held its first-ever meeting on Monday in Abuja, just weeks after its inauguration by President Bola Tinubu.
Gossip News Now reports that the session took place at the Yobe State Governor’s Lodge in the Federal Capital Territory and was chaired by Governor of Yobe State and committee head, Mai Mala Buni.
The closed-door gathering drew several governors and senior party officials, highlighting the APC’s emphasis on the committee’s critical role.
Attendees included Governors Hope Uzodimma (Imo State), Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers State), Hyacinth Alia (Benue State), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta State), Uba Sani (Kaduna State), and Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti State).
Other participants were the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle; the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola; and former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello. Notable figures such as Senator Kabiru Marafa, former APC National Legal Adviser Muiz Banire, and Ibrahim Masari, Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Political Affairs, were also present.
However, three committee governors—Bassey Otu (Cross River State), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara State), and Umar Namadi (Jigawa State)—were absent.
Gossip News Now recalls that President Tinubu inaugurated the Strategy, Conflict Resolution, and Mobilisation Committee on December 24, tasking its members with resolving lingering internal disputes and strengthening party mobilisation nationwide ahead of upcoming political engagements.
The inaugural session reportedly focused on establishing the committee’s operational framework and devising strategies to reconcile aggrieved members while consolidating APC’s structures across the country.
