Fulham have officially announced the signing of Norwegian winger Oscar Bobb from Manchester City, with the attacker committing his future to the club until the summer of 2031.
The 22-year-old joins the West London side on a five-and-a-half-year contract, with the transfer fee remaining undisclosed. Bobb arrives at Craven Cottage after enjoying success at City, where he featured in both Premier League and Club World Cup triumphs. He will wear the number 14 jersey for Fulham.
Bobb Delighted With Fulham Switch
Speaking for the first time as a Fulham player, Bobb shared his excitement about joining the club and settling into his new surroundings.
“It feels really good to be here. I’ve had a great first day meeting everyone and I’m very excited,” he said.
“I’ve always seen Fulham as a strong club with quality players and a fantastic stadium. I spoke with Sander, who’s a close friend of mine, and also had conversations with the Manager. He explained the style of play, the dressing room atmosphere, and the overall direction of the club.
“He came across as a very nice person, so the decision felt quite straightforward.”
Tony Khan Welcomes New Signing
Fulham vice chairman Tony Khan also expressed his enthusiasm following the completion of the transfer, praising Bobb’s qualities and long-term potential.
“I’m delighted to welcome Oscar Bobb to Fulham,” Khan said. “He’s an exciting young talent who is keen to play for this club. We’re looking to build on the team’s positive progress in the second half of the season while laying strong foundations for the future.
“Welcome, Oscar. Come on Fulham!”
Player Profile and Career Background
Bobb is widely viewed as a technically gifted and inventive winger, admired for his close ball control, sharp movement, and creativity in the final third. Although he is most effective on the right wing, where he often cuts inside onto his stronger left foot, he is equally comfortable operating on the left or in a central attacking role.
The Norway international started his football journey in the Vålerenga youth system before joining the City Football Academy shortly after turning 16.
Breakthrough at Manchester City
Bobb made his senior Manchester City debut in a Premier League fixture against Fulham at the Etihad Stadium during the 2023/24 season, a campaign that proved to be a major breakthrough. He went on to make 26 appearances across all competitions, contributing as City claimed both the league title and the Club World Cup.
One of his most memorable moments came against Newcastle United at St James’ Park, where he scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner following a clever assist from Kevin De Bruyne. That strike later won the Premier League Goal of the Month award.
He also impressed in the Community Shield at Wembley, delivering a Man of the Match performance and registering an assist against Manchester United. However, a broken leg suffered in training restricted his involvement until April. Despite the injury setback, Bobb still made 15 appearances in all competitions this season before completing his transfer to Fulham.
