Aides Deny Health Rumours Surrounding Kwankwaso’s Foreign Trip

The Kwankwasiyya Movement has refuted claims that the national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, travelled outside the country for medical treatment.

The clarification comes after social media was awash with speculation suggesting that the former Kano State governor had gone abroad due to health concerns.

Addressing the rumours, the movement’s spokesperson, Mansur Kurugu, explained that Kwankwaso left Nigeria on Thursday purely for personal reasons, stressing that the trip had nothing to do with medical care.

“Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso travelled out of the country for personal engagements,” Kurugu stated. “It is neither medical tourism nor related to any health issue.”

Echoing this position, one of Kwankwaso’s media aides, Saifullahi Hassan, dismissed the reports as false and politically motivated, attributing them to the actions of opponents seeking to misinform the public.

Hassan, in a post shared on Facebook, insisted that the claims were deliberately fabricated and should be disregarded.

He further pointed out that Kwankwaso was visibly active in Kano shortly before his departure, countering suggestions that he was unwell.

According to Hassan, the NNPP leader had earlier on Thursday visited Singer Market in Kano, where he sympathized with traders affected by a recent fire incident that destroyed shops and goods worth millions of naira.
