The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State has dismissed the growing activities of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), insisting that the opposition party lacks the political strength to threaten the ruling party’s dominance in future elections.
Party leaders argued that the ADC is merely a gathering of familiar politicians attempting to regain relevance through a different platform.

The strong remarks were made during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Tambuwal Local Government Area, where APC leaders gathered under a political mobilisation initiative supporting Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto and the party’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Addressing party supporters, Sokoto APC chairman Isah Sadik Achida claimed that many politicians now regrouping under the ADC had previously occupied positions of power without delivering meaningful progress to residents.
According to him, rebranding under another political party would not erase their past performance in government.

Speaking further, Isah Sadik Achida reportedly described the ADC coalition as a recycled political arrangement made up of old political actors already known to Sokoto residents.
