Fresh insight has emerged on the deepening internal challenges within the Peoples Democratic Party, with party chieftain Dan Ulasi tracing the roots of the crisis to events surrounding the 2023 presidential primary.
Speaking during a televised interview, Ulasi identified the convention held at Eagle Square as a defining moment that reshaped the party’s internal dynamics. In his view, decisions taken during that gathering set off a chain reaction that continues to influence the party’s stability.
He suggested that the outcome of the primary contest might have taken a different direction under alternate circumstances, noting that Nyesom Wike could have emerged as the party’s flagbearer if events had unfolded differently.
